Fine art prints

All photographs in Nature gallery are available for purchase as fine art (giclée) prints in various sizes. Prints are always individually made to the customer. Mounted and framed prints make perfect personal and business gifts. These prints are also ideal option if you are looking for unique touch to your home or office decor.

Any special requirements regarding the finish or presentation of the prints can be catered as well.

Prints are available as "print only" or mounted on backing board with a window mount.

More about the prints

Photographs are printed on thick 310gsm archival quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag matte fine art paper - one of the very best papers available - using UV resistant Epson UltraChrome K3 inks. This combination provides good fade resistance when displayed under glass (framed). The strictly controlled printing process is standard and accepted method to create high quality original artwork and re-productions. These type of prints are sometimes called giclée prints.

Prints are mounted on a white backing board using paper hinges. Natural white bevel cut window mount is placed on the top and hinged to the backing board with linen tape. Photographs among many other types of artwork shouldn't touch the glass when placed in a frame. This is where window mount comes into picture; it separates artwork from the glass.

Mount sizes are widely used standard sizes and you should be able to find a frame easily yourself if you choose not to have it professionally framed for you. All materials are acid free archival quality products. 

Prints are signed on the white border (not visible when mounted) on the print itself and on the window mount with pencil to give visible proof this is an authentic print made by Pekka Vermasvuo, the photographer. Each print is individually made to order and is thoroughly inspected before it is sent to you. Every effort is made to make sure you will receive a piece of art you are more than satisfied with.

Standard print sizes are 9 x 6 in, 12 x 8 in. and 18 x 12 in. Other sizes are available on request.

Please note that the width/height ratio varies depending on how the picture is cropped.
For example, 18 x 12 in. print of a very wide picture may have actual print size of 18 x 7 in. and a square print may print at 12 x 12 in. In other words, the maximum length of the shorter side of the print is either 6 in. (9 x 6 in. print), 8 in.( 12 x 8 in. print) or 12 in. (18 x 12 in print). Most of the prints have the aspect ratio same as the stated print size.

Frame size is always measured from the internal rebate to the internal rebate.

^*) Please note that size 24 x 18 in. mount is very vulnerable to damage during transit and needs to be packaged extremely carefully with additional support on both sides. This will increase the total weight of the package and postage fee, which may be out of proportion for a single mounted print.
