About the prints
Framed Fine Art prints or canvas prints make perfect personal and business gifts. These are also great choice if you are looking for that unique touch to your home or office decor.

Fine art prints:
Photographs are printed on thick 310 gsm archival quality Hahnemühle Photo Rag matte fine art paper - one of the very best papers available using UV resistant Epson UltraChrome K3 inks. This combination provides good fade resistance when displayed under glass (framed). The strictly controlled printing process we use is standard and accepted method to create high quality original artwork and re-productions. These type of prints are sometimes called giclée prints.
Prints are mounted on a thick white backing board using paper hinges. Natural white bevel cut window mount (passe-portout) is placed on the top and hinged to the backing board with linen tape. Photographs among many other types of artwork shouldn't touch the glass when placed in a frame. This is where window mount comes into picture; it separates artwork from the glass and also helps keep the picture straight.
Prints are signed on the white border (not visible when mounted) on the print itself and on the window mount with pencil to give visible proof this is an original and authorised print by Pekka Vermasvuo. Each print is individually made to order and is thoroughly inspected before it is sent to the customer. Every effort is made to ensure you will receive a piece of art you are truly satisfied with.
Important: Print sizes in the price list are nominal sizes. The actual print size is determined by the width/height ratio of the image.
For example, the actual print size of a nominal 18 x 12 in. print size may be 18 x 8 in. for a very wide picture and the size of a square print would be 12 x 12 in. Both lengths may vary depending on the width/height ratio and be at maximum the size of the nominal print size. However, most photographs print at the same size as the nominal print size.
Canvas prints:
Canvas prints are great way of decorating your house or office. They are made by a professional Finnish company using high quality materials and top-end printing equipment. All canvas prints we provide are ready to hang on the wall and are supplied without any decorative frames.
Printed canvas is stretched over a stretcher frame with corner wedges. Canvas is then stapled in place on the back of the frame and hanging mechanism is attached. Standard stretcher frame thickness is 20 mm (approx. 6/8 in.) but bigger canvas prints are also available on 40 mm (approx 1.5 in.) thick stretcher frames. Please note that the edge most parts of the print are shown on the sides of the print. This is either 20 or 40 mm depending on the selected stretcher frame thickness.
The correct canvas size depends on the width/height ratio of the picture. Standard canvas print sizes cater various width/height ratios. Please ask and check the correct size before placing the order!
